QuGenome is a research project focus on secure multiparty computation service supported by quantum technologies to provide a secure and fast multiparty private analyses of genome databases to construct Phylogenetic Trees. The consortium of this project is composed by Instituto de Telecomunicações (IT), CBRA Genomics, S.A. and Huawei Technologies Duesseldorf GmbH. This project will focus on the implementation of a private recognition of composite signals in genome use case over the Madrid OpenQKD network. The proposed secure multiparty computation service will perform genome database analysis with unprecedented levels of security and represents a truly innovative approach in the field of healthcare research. This will pave the way for a massive genome sequencing and signal identification in DNA with high-security levels. We also expect a strong impact on leveraging responsible and dynamic multidisciplinary collaboration between different disciplines and research areas potentially interested in quantum technologies.

Objectives

Implementation a Quantum Oblivious Key Distribution (QOKD) protocol between nodes of the Madrid OpenQKD testbed.

Design and test of a garbled circuit for private recognition of composite signals in genome which uses OTs from the QOKD protocol.

Integration of the genome database into the OpenQKD testbed.

Test and validation of the private recognition of composite signals SMC service.
